David has been cast to play a future incarnation of the Doctor in the upcoming 2008 Christmas special. According to more Russell T Davies spoilers: "The Doctor hears a damsel in distress, he steps forward to save her when this other man saves the day. The Doctor says: 'Who are you?' The man says, 'I'm the Doctor!' The Doctor becomes his companion."

Is this Time Lord trickery or is David Morrissey's Doctor the next in line for the Tardis?
