A number of Scottish X Factor hopefuls will have to re-audition.
They contenders auditioned two weeks ago, but since then the show format has changed.
ITV bosses want wannabees to perform in front a live live studio audience which means that the judges will have to return to Scotland to re-shoot the auditions.
A source told the Sun: " We are still fine-tuning our plans, but we aim to be back up in Scotland at the end of next month.
"We are working out how we are going to do it, but it does look like everyone will come and audition again. It's all part of our bid to make the X Factor bigger and better than ever."
The U-turn on the live audience came about after the success of Britain's Got Talent. Bosses realised how much more they could add to X Factor and changed the format to accommodate this. Previously, the judges held private auditions and candidates went through to the boot camp round.
Auditions continue throughout the UK over the coming months as the show prepares to return to our screens this August.
