Cheryl Cole's first day as a judge on The X Factor got off to a shaky start.
The very first person to audition burst into tears.
19 year old Dominic Moone was so nervous that he started crying before he could sing a note.
The poor lad needed to take a break before he was able to perform. Eventually, with some encouragement from the new judge, he did manage to sing. But Dom's rendition of Boys II Men's 'I'll Make Love To You' failed to impress.
Aside from the waterworks, Cheryl seemed to be enjoying her first day. A show insider told the Daily Star; "The panel were in a good mood. With Sharon gone, a lot of tension has disappeared."
The new judging line-up were joined by show host Dermot O'Leary and new Xtra Factor presenter Holly Willoughby to kick off the auditions at Arsenal FC's Emirates Stadium in London.
Unfortunately reports have claimed that the auditions got off to a slow start, as by 9am fewer than 20 hopefuls had arrived to audtition.
Let's hope it isn't a sign of things to come.
